This handbook, developed by AIDSCAP‘s Behavior Change Communication (BCC) unit, is intended to provide the reader with several complementary ways to establish a long-lasting partnership with the media. The ways of sensiblization of the media for the problems of HIV infected persons are given, also suggestions how to conduct media friendly event and develop partnership with schools of journalism. From 1992-1997, the AIDS Control and Prevention (AIDSCAP) Project collaborated with community groups, governments, international donor agencies, nongovernmental organizations and universities to mobilize communities and resources in developing countries for HIV/AIDS prevention programs.
