The CIVIS (Media Foundation for integration and cultural diversity in Europe) Media Prize honours the best programmes on the theme of integration and cultural diversity in Europe. The programmes on radio and television which promote the peaceful coexistence of people with the most varied national, ethnic, religious or cultural origins will be awarded.
The European Online Media Award will be given in the Federal Chancellery on April 18, 2012 in Berlin.
The award ceremony of the European CIVIS Media Prize for TV and radio will be held on May 9, 2012 the European Parliament in Brussels.
Closing date for entries of all categories of the competition will be the 20th January 2012.
Every year the CIVIS Media Prize is awarded both as a European and German television prize as well as a European radio prize to German-language programmes in the European Union and Switzerland.
