Today, we already have a considerable amount of work and analysis on how to address media issues related to immigration and the problematic consequences of this: the configuration of immigration not only seen as problematic, but directly, as a threat that may affect the functioning of basic services, the availability of work, public safety, our beliefs of “always”, and even see in it a crevice by which we would be affected by international terrorism.

This report propose a good analysis of the current immigration situation in Spain, using as a case study the recent arrival of the Canary Islands Cayucos, which is a good example of the degree of misrepresentation to the media persons that are subject to emigrate.
