This award is for journalists, editors, media executives or journalism trainers who, through the media, have promoted better understanding among the peoples of South East Europe, worked towards solving minority-related problems, and fought against ethnic or religious discrimination, racism and xenophobia.
The prize is worth 2000 Euros, and it is being awarded to journalists working in broadcast, print and online media by the South East Europe Media Organisation (SEEMO) from 2002 on.
It covers the following countries: Poland, Czech Republic, Turkey, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine, Hungary, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, FYR Macedonia, Moldova, Romania, Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo.
