European Disability Forum (EDF) is promoting the rights of women with disabilities and working on guidelines to prevent extreme violence against girls and women in Europe, as a part of the framework of the preparation of the Convention of the Council of Europe, and to the EU Strategy towards equality between women and men 2010-2015.
EDF has held its third seminar in cooperation with the European Foundation Centre on the implementation of the UN Convention. The focus of the seminar was on reasonable accommodation at work.
The organisations is working to ensure disabled people and their families do not pay for the economic crisis by the reduction in their income, benefits, and employment opportunities or in cuts in support to our representative organisations.
