Event date: 10 – 15 May
Region: Belgium & EU bordering countries
European journalists interested in democracy and protection of minority groups beyond the EU-27 can participate in a seminar in Brussels, that will be held from 10th to 15th March, in Brussels, Belgium.
The good neighbour policy becomes key, organizers point out, because the EU-27 “cannot afford to be indifferent to the arc of instability that runs from Belarus to North Africa, passing through Ukraine, Moldova, the Western Balkans, the Caucasus and the Middle East.”
The seminar provides an intensive briefing to journalists on the European Neighborhood Policy (ENP). Through this policy, the EU has reached out to its neighbors to increase their prosperity and stability and indirectly improve security across Europe.
The seminar, “European Neighbourhood Policy: Minority Protection on the Road to Democratisation” is sponsored by the European Journalism Centre.
Journalists will meet key EU officials, diplomats, civil society organizations and independent experts.
