Journalists reporting topics concerning refugees, migrants and ethnicity are invited to participate in a workshop within the project Media against Hate in which the Media Diversity Institute (MDI) is one of the partners. The workshop will gather 25 journalists who have to be residents in the EU member countries, Iceland and Liechtenstein. It aims to exchange best practices and guidelines promoting ethical journalism on these issues. It will also focus on challenges for hate speech in Croatia.
The workshop “Reporting Refugees, Migrants, Ethnicity” will take place on 26 – 27 May 2017 in Zagreb, Croatia. To participate in the workshop, please register here by 3 April 2017.

The Media Diversity Institute (MDI) is one of the partners gathered by the European Federation of Journalists (EFJ) for the project and campaign Media Against Hate. A series of trainings and workshops will be organised for media professionals, representatives of CSOs and media regulators across Europe to exchange best practices and promote mutual learning and cooperation activities.
