Malaysia to host regional seminar on Media and Good Governance

An upcoming seminar in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, will explore how media can help bring about development and change through the pursuit of good governance. The workshop will take place March 22 to 24.

Participants will include broadcast editors from radio and TV, public private and community media in Asia Pacific. Applicants should have at least four years of experience in broadcasting and be proficient in English.

Among the issues to be covered: the state of good governance in Asia-Pacific; women, good governance and media; ethics and research for accurate reporting; media, elections and good governance; and new media and good governance. The program will be a mix of seminars and workshops.
