Media are one of the key channels and means to reach out to a wider audience, to educate, inform on achievements, promote alternative policies or behaviosr, or advocate for change at local or national level. As such, media are one of the most important partners and tools for civil society organizations engaging in civic activism and promoting change in their community.
This manual targets youth groups and NGOs, specificaly USAID/OTI grantees and partners, by offering them assistance and advice on working effectively with mainstream and social media. The manual is only a part of a wide range of services and tools that OTI offers to its partners, including media relations training, spokesperson training, use of social media campaigning, production of new media content, and coaching in these areas.
