The Media Diversity Institute is organising a 5 day production-oriented training course in Casablanca for Moroccan radio journalists. The course will be run by Jean-Michel Duffrene, Programme Director at French Radio London and a former BBC Editor, and Safi Naciri, Editor in Chief at Moroccan SNRT National Radio.
The training course will focus on how to report on sensitive issues in a responsible manner, and will cover subjects such as freedom of expression, journalism ethics, marginalised communities, gender, domestic violence, and corruption. Stories ready for broadcast will be produced during the course.
Applicants must work for a radio station in Morocco, have no formal journalism education, commit to produce a short radio piece by the end of the course, and broadcast the story on their radio station. The course will be conducted in French.
